The presidential media handlers are in a fix explaining the controversial meeting between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and President Paul Kagame of Rwanda ,yesterday in Paris, the French capital.
In fact the media aides to Tinubu caused the controversy by admitting that because of the bad quality of the picture, an AI tool was used to improve the quality of the picture.
The media handlers also said that a mobile phone was used in taking the picture.
In a strong response to the Sunday controversial meeting between the two African leaders, Temitope Ajayi , Senior Special Assistant to the president on media and publicity today said the reports of AI generated picture was not correct and ‘misrepresentation of facts ‘.
Listen to the defence of the media aide :’ The picture was taken with a phone and obviously had poor quality. The photographer only later used Grok to improve the picture quality. That is not a reason to conclude it was AI generated.’
But the explanation of the media is more of half truths.
Is it possible that the media crew of the president in a foreign tour could not get a nice camera and would have to use phone to take the picture of the president and his guest.
Why should the presidential media aides use AI to improve on the quality of the president picture.?
The Pond News understands that the controversial picture was released by the presidency posted verified President official X handle.
A community note added to the President’s post suggested that the picture might not be authentic.
Since Tinubu left Nigeria on December 28 last year for Europe in midst of insecurity, controversy continued to trail the tour.
