An IT expert Dr Ndubuisi Ekekwe has appealed to million of PDP supporters across the length and breadth of Nigeria to ignore the purported voice of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar , the PDP presidential candidate trending on the social media.
The expert said the cloned voice of Atiku making comments about INEC was the work of mischief makers using artificial intelligence to deceive unsuspecting Nigerians.
He argued that as an expert he owed it as a patriotic duty to come forward to debunk the voice and satanic way of making PDP voters not to vote in tommorow crucial presidential and national assembly elections.
Dr Ndubuisi Ekekwe, a leading technology expert based in Lagos condemned the act and tasked Nigerians to be careful of the dangers of artificial intelligence.
Said Ekekwe:”Artificial intelligence is an incredible tool that has many useful applications, but it can also be used for nefarious purposes. In this case, someone has used A.I. to clone Atiku Abubakar’s voice and create a recording that never actually happened. We need to be vigilant and aware of these kinds of techniques, especially in political sphere. I also hope the law enforcement authorities are getting more sophisticated in their investigations to hold those propagating these sort of dangerous activities.”
