The SDP governorship candidate Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi today promised to make Asaba market more viable than Onitsha market in Anambra.
Gbagi disclosed that within one hundred days in office if elected as Delta State governor, he would build ten thousands shops in Asaba that will attract more traders to the Delta State capital.
Addressing a crowd of party faithfuls in Asaba, the governorship hopeful disclosed that with his team of economic advisers ,Asaba shall become the industrial hub of the South South.
He also promised to revive the Asaba textile mill so that clothes can be produced for local consumption and export.
He told Deltans that the state was in emergency situation and needs a strategic thinker like him to correct the ugly situation.
He argued that the March 11 election was about the future of Deltans and should not vote for people who do not know how to manage the economy but solely depend on allocations from Abuja.
He therefore made a passionate appeal to Deltans to vote for him that would gurrantee the future of their children rather than those who will steal their money.
The former Minister of Education pledged to run free education from the primary school level to the university, adding that Delta State was rich to implement such programme.
Earlier, the deputy governorship candidate of SDP, Mrs Rosemary Ishioma Oshilim told Deltans to join SDP to liberate the state from the misrule of the Okowa administration.
She said that with the support of women and the youths, Gbagi would be the next governor of Delta State.
