A social critic and a former federal legislator Senator Shehu Sani has lambasted the Speaker of House of Representatives ,Femi Gbajabiamila for supporting half salary for university lecturers.
In his verified Twitter account, Sani said it was hypocritical for the speaker to support half salary whereas no legislator is paid half salary for absence from the Senate or House of Representatives chamber.
It would be recalled the federal government paid university lecturers half salary for the month of October.
Sani tweeted thus :’ A system where no legislator is paid half salary for absence from the chamber during session, even for no valid reason, the speaker is justifying half salary for the university lecturers.’
