Delta State Commissioner for Transport, Chief Mike Okah, has assured the Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) State Wing, Chief Francis Arhiyor, of his readiness to work amicably with the union.
Okah gave the assurance when Chief Arhiyor led members of the union in a courtesy visit to the commissioner in his office in Asaba recently.
The commissioner remarked that “there is the need to have a robust relationship at all times to achieve planned objectives.”
He added that his office should be put in the know, concerning the union activities, in order for the ministry to have a symbiotic relationship with the mhairman and members.
He commended Arhiyor and enjoined him to continue in his orderly conduct of the union’s activities.
Earlier, Arhiyor, also a Senior Special Adviser (SSA) to the State governor on Transportation,
congratulated the Transport Commissioner and assured him of a cordial working relationship and support for the Okowa administration.
