
President Muhammadu Buhari has given approval for the recruitment of more constables into the Nigerian Police.
The recruitment according to the president is line with federal policy of adding 10,000 new personnel in the police annually.
The federal government has also commissioned new operational assets for the police which is financed by a special presidential intervention fund.
Buhari disclosed this information today via his verified Twitter account.
He tweeted thus :”This week I commissioned new operational assets for @PoliceNG, financed by a Special Presidential Intervention Fund approved for that purpose.
I have also approved funding to recruit the next batch of constables, in line with our mandate to add 10,000 new personnel annually.”
