The government of Sokoto state had claimed to fight mosquitoes with N530 million.
The amount according to source close to Government House ,Sokoto was used in buying mosquito nets and distributing them to citizens.
The source was ,however ,silent on the number of nets bought and the population of those who benefited.
Reacting, Francis Nwapa, convener of End Malaria in Nigeria, said the claim of the Sokoto state government was misdirected and a clear act of corruption.
The Pond news understands that the action of the government is one of the many ways of government officials pocketing public funds at the disadvantage of the citizens.
