The Nigerian government is poised to eradicate hunger and ensure food security in the country.
Towards this goal, the National Bureau of Statistics has embarked on national agricultural census for 2022.
In a statement issued by the management of National Bureau of Statistics in Abuja, it said that the national agricultural census is a joint effort among the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, the World Bank and Food and Agriculture Organization.
The census apart from providing basic information on the structure of the agricultural sector, providing a comprehensive frame and register for subsequent agriculture and household based survey, shall help government at all levels to formulate policies and monitor intervention aimed at food security in the country.
The trained enumerators shall in turn train others to carry out the national agricultural census.
