The Delta State government over the weekend organized day of amusement and merry making for flood victims in IDP camps across the state.
The objectives of the merry making, according to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa were to brighten the spirits of the flood victims.
The governor disclosed this today via his verified Twitter account.
Okowa said he was very glad to see that their spirits were lifted by the gesture.
Okowa tweeted :’Over the weekend, to brighten the spirits of the IDPs affected by the flooding in Delta State, the @DSGovernment organized a day of amusement and merrymaking for all the families in the IDP camps.
It gladdens my heart to see that their spirits were lifted by this gesture.’
