Governments at all levels have been advised to put measures in place to combat the effects of floods.
The former governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori gave this advice in a tweet yesterday.
Ibori in his verified Twitter account said the release of water from Lagdo Dam in Cameroon must be dealt with decisively to make sure it never happens again.
He condoled the people and states affected by the floods.
Ibori tweeted :’The loss of lives and property caused by massive floods ravaging several states across the country as a result of the release of water from the Lagdo Dam in Cameroon must be dealt with decisively to ensure this never happens again. I condole with the affected states .’
