Residents of Egbule Kayode, Abio Street and environ in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of the state have been thrown into shock and bewilderment following the kidnapping of five month old baby by an unknown person last weekend.
According to our sources, a woman, names withheld and her new born baby were in her chemist shop when the kidnapper struck.
This reporter learnt that a man entered into the woman’s shop, pretending he wanted to take treatment but suddenly pointed a gun at the woman.
In the process, the unknown man snatched the woman’s baby and her mobile phone before running into a near-by bush while it was raining heavily.
It was also gathered that the woman raised alarm but because of the rain neighbors could not hear her.
Several security operatives later stormed the area and search the area but could find the kidnapper or the baby.
Sources close to men of the Nigerian Police in Agbor revealed that the alleged kidnapper has used the woman’s phone to call the family that their baby was with him.
All efforts to reach the family proved abortive as this reporter was told that the police have commenced full investigations.
