A popular private radio station in Asaba, Bridge Radio 98.7FM is off the air.
Fire on July 6, 2024 gutted the radio station with broadcasting equipment worth millions of Naira destroyed.
However, there was no loss of life.
A statement by the management team shared by Rukie Edjeren confirmed the unfortunate incident.
The statement said that management crisis team was working round the clock to fix the problem so that the station can resume broadcasting.
Said part of the statement: ‘Our crisis management team is actively working on damage assessment and restoration plan’.
The Pond News understands that the radio station is very popular in Asaba for its objective news and entertainment programmes.
The statement did not state the cause of the fire nor when the radio station would come back on air.
