A raging fire yesterday consumed a major market in Port Harcourt ,Rivers State.
The fire occurred at oil mill market, Aba road in the garden City of Port Harcourt.
The Pond News understands that goods and property running into millions of Naira were burnt before the fire service arrived.
However, the cause of the early Saturday inferno could not be identified at the time of writing this report.
The fire began on Saturday morning when the traders were yet to resume business.
No life was lost in the fire incident.
The popular oil mill market is situated in Rumuokwurusi community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
At the time of writing this report, the Rivers State ,Governor Chief Nyesom Wike was yet to visit the scene of the fire incident.
