The presidential candidate of the Labour Party Mr Peter Obi has reminded Nigerians as they go to polls in twelve days time that the election was about national interest.
He therefore pleaded with them that their choice of leadership should not be about religion or tribe.
He also said that this month presidential election represents a crucial and significant moment of history.
According to the Labour Party standard bearer, it is a moment that requires taking specific steps that would mark her turning, adding that Nigeria was at a historical junction.
Obi expressed these sentiments today via his verified Twitter account.
Obi tweeted thus :”Twelve days from now we will be called upon to make very hard choices. It won’t be about tribe or religion, it won’t be about traditional sentiments of my turn. It will be about National Interest.
Every nation has significant moments in their history – when a situation arises, which requires that nation to take specific steps that would mark her turning point. Nigeria is at that historical junction.”
