Residents in Asaba, Warri and other major cities have been advised to shun panic buying as petroleum products would soon be available for all.
Prince Emman Amgbaduba, the Delta State Petroleum Products Monitoring Committee chairman gave this advice today in Warri.
Amgbaduba who is the Delta
State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, gave the advice in Warri shortly after a meeting with Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN.
The commissioner also inspected some petrol stations in Warri , saying that with the delivery of 20 million litres of petrol at the Warri depot and the expected arrival of additional 15 million, that would end queues in the petrol stations.
Amgbaduba challenged oil marketers to be patriotic so as to end the pains of the people in getting petroleum products.
The commissioner explained that his principal, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa was not happy with the petroleum products scarcity.
Speaking earler, Delta State Chairman Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Comrade Zino Onaemor tasked the committee to dialogue with the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission and depot owners to check the ugly and insensitive activities of middle men.
He lamented that Independent marketers do not purchase the products at government regulated pump price because of the agents and middlemen.
