Delta State Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), has warned the members of the public not to fall prey to some unscrupulous individuals parading themselves as recruitment officers, working on behalf of the board to recruit community teachers.
The board said the criminal individuals have been sending account numbers to unsuspecting job-seeking Deltans and extorting varying amounts of money from them as payment for the said process of appointment of teachers.
In a statement signed by the Director of Information, Mrs Theresa Oliko, the board said it had not engaged the services of such persons and clarified to the public that it was not conducting any test/examination or carrying out any recruitment exercise in Kwale Technical College or any other place in Delta State or any place whatsoever.
The statement emphasized that the process of recruiting teachers in Delta State had been spelt out from the earlier publication issued by the board on the 16th and 17th January, 2022, and that the application started on the 31st January, 2022 and ended 13th February, 2022, and that successful and qualified applicants had been engaged.
While advising members of the public to be guided by the disclaimer, the statement said there is no further test/examination of any form for the purpose of recruiting teachers into the Delta State Unified Teaching Service.
