Delta State Government has assured individuals and groups that have so far made donations towards the relief of flood victims across the state of the judicious application of the donations.
A statement by the Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, said that the state government was very much appreciative of their demonstration of true humanity and citizenship, which he said, showed that Deltans and Nigerians in general were their brothers’ keepers.
He called for more donations in view of the severity of the flooding and the economic and social dislocations attendant to it, as well as the ‘immense’ support required by victims to rebuild their lives.
Ukah further assured that there would be a formal acknowledgement of all donations in due course.
