The Delta State Police Command have advised members of the public to disregard a fake Facebook account using the name of the State Commissioner of Police to defraud people.
In a statement by DSP Bright Edafe, police public relations officer, it said that the mischievous person parading himself as CP Ari Muhammad Ali and should disregard such request for money.
In his verified Twitter account, Edafe said :’The fraudster has reached out to some people via the Facebook handle displaying some pictures of the CP in mufti and police uniform with the username Muhammad Ali Ari. He further stated that CP graduated from UNIJOS which is not true.’
He therefore advised the public not to have anything to do with the fake Facebook account and the owner.
Edafe further warned :’The CP is using this medium to inform the general public to disregard any request or message from this Facebook handle, as it is the handiwork of a criminal element parading himself as the CP with intent to defraud.’
