Arise TV and media aides
It is becoming an article of faith that until very senior media aides to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori appear on Arise TV, they believe that they are not managing well the image of the governor.
Within the week, two top most media aides appeared on Arise TV at the cost of tax payers money.
It is a good idea but there is the caveat.
The Delta State television both in Asaba and Warri are limping gasping for air.
Time was when DBS, Asaba was broadcasting on Facebook.
It is very sad.
States like Ogun and Lagos have effective presence on satellite broadcasting but oil rich Delta State information managers derive joy in appearing on national television.
It is as tragic as painful.

PDP Deafening silence

Since the defection of distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko to APC, the Delta State chapter of PDP has not said anything.
Even the rumoured planned defection of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the party said the governor remains loyal member of the party.
Ned Nwoko is a big political chieftain and his defection has caused some political earthquake, tremors and after shock.
The Delta State PDP is playing the waiting game, contemplating its political narvel that things were alright.
The reality is that the party is shocked beyond measure.
The three senators of Delta State are now of the APC stripe and the prospect of APC overuning the state is becoming a reality.
Reports from the various local government areas indicate that a legion of politicians are planning defection.
The silence of the PDP can be interpreted that defection has really overwhelmed the party.
The symbolic brown is sweeping away the torn umbrella.

DESOPADEC , contractors on war path

The contractors working for DESOPADEC are on war path spitting fire.
Reason, the development interventionist agency, a product of 13 per cent derivation
Is unable to pay the contractors for work done.
Is it because the governor is not releasing funds for DESOPADEC or the management in a mule like function has refused to pay them.
Either way, it is bad.
There are lots of money at the disposal of the government via federal allocation and internally generated revenue.
Within the week, the board of internal revenue board boasted of how it surpassed its projected target.
Apart from accusation of producing an indolent class of local millionaires, the latest transgression is definitely not in the interest of the state.
Whoever is not sending DESOPADEC per cent of the derivation to them should do that.
The oil bearing communities should enjoy the benefits of the resources in the bowels of their land.
