Bad Christmas Rice

The Oborevwori administration before Christmas gave bags of rice to workers, politicians and friends.

It was a kind gesture in line with the season of charity.

However, the contractors that bought the rice for government did bad jobs.
The rice happened to be low quality rice full of stones.

But the worse aspect of the Christmas Rice was that ,both the government and the receivers were cheated.

A 25kg bag when weighed was about 20kg. The 50k rice of bag when weighed came down to 40kg.

In simple language, the bags of rice were rebaged.

Deltans and indeed Nigerians should stop blaming those in government.

Most Nigerians outside the corridor of power are worse.

You cannot blame Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the poor quality rice

Anioma State creation phobia

Some Deltans including political bigwigs are having sleepless nights because of Anioma State creation campaign.

Even journalists have joined the nightmarish group with their blood pressure pumping up.

Like or hate, Senator Ned Nwoko is a man of destiny.

Those against the Anioma State creation has not hidden their disdain for Anioma State.

The funny aspect of this phobia is that the greatest opponents are from Delta North.

Whether the proposed Anioma State is in south South or South East is beyond the issue.

As for those journalists against the Anioma State creation, they are yet to articulate their points.

Delta State, too many spokesmen

One thing that is plaguing Delta State information delivery is that too many people are speaking on behalf of the state government.

The Senator Ovie Omo Agege sting is one of them.

Besides that, there were two Christmas and New Year messages.

If the governor is quoted during an event, there is nothing wrong with that.

But there are many things fundamentally wrong with the State Information Commissioner and Chief press secretary issuing separate statements on the same matter.

In ranking of protocol, after the Information Commissioner statement, there is practically no need for any other media aide to issue similar statement.

There should be synergy and not competition.

Remember the saying, too many cooks, spoil the soup.

Hope 2025 would be different in selling the MORE Agenda of the government.
