Aboh kingship Crisis

Today the news gaining currency in Aboh , the headquarters of Ndokwa East local government areas is the kingship crisis.

A certain man from the United States of America came to his roots with the intention of becoming a king.

There is nothing absolutely wrong with that.

What is ,however, wrong with it is the manner he ascended the throne of his ancestors.

Reports say that he mobilized a lorry loads of policemen and forcefully forced the ‘Oduah’ to chalk him.

There was no picture or video of the kingmaker that placed a crown on his head.

Majority of the Aboh people have rejected him as their king.

The sad aspect of the story is government hand in the matter.

A certain executive assistant to the deputy governor is behind the doctoring of the process of becoming king in Aboh kingdom.

Despite the court injunction against the coronation, the said political appointee is bent on steamrolling the said imposter as the king.

This is certainly how not a democratic government should operate.

Floods in Asaba

The rains are pouring down in Asaba and the residents don’t see that as blessing.

There are tales of woes as most residents buildings are flooded.

This brings to question the gigantic drainage project done by the Okowa administration.

If you are around Okpanam road especially by ShopRite and DBS roads and other adjourning streets, floods become a constant plague.

The question, was the drainage issue not well addressed by Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the acclaimed road master?

What is the Oborevwori administration doing about the annual floods?

Controlling floods in Asaba capital is not a rocket science.

Channel all the drains to the River Niger and if those in charge are still confused, visit Onitsha and get tutorials on how to build effective drainage system.

School building collapse

Within the week, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori sent a condolence message to the parents of a pupil that died as a result of building collapse.

The unfortunate incident happened at Eghereka Primary School, Ewu town in Ughelli South local government areas.

Beyond the condolence message, it is a practical proof of lack of infrastructure in primary schools in the state despite the MORE agenda propaganda of the government.

Why was the dilapidated building abandoned over ten years not pulled down or completed?

Both the government and the headmaster are culpable in this unfortunate incident.

School should be a place of learning not a place of death.

A commission of inquiry would not be a bad idea.

It is time for the government to do integrity test on all schools buildings
