The World Coconut Day shall be celebrated in Delta State next week.
The essence of the celebration is to make Nigerians know more of the potentials of coconut in creating wealth and for healthy living.
In a statement issued today in Asaba, by Chief Aneke Ifemeni said it was a collaboration between Delta State Coconut Development Programme and the National Coconut Producers Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria.
Ifemeni who is the programme coordinator of Delta State Coconut Development Programme said all critical stakeholders are expected to participate.
He also said the theme of the celebration ‘Building a safe inclusive Coconut Community’, was all embracing as coconut planting and process provides a viable means of income.
The celebration comes up on 6th September 2021 in Asaba.
