The Delta State government today made a strong appeal to the federal government to allow it work on federal roads in the state.
Delta State Information Commissioner made the passionate plea while speaking to reporters in Asaba.
The said federal roads are Sapele Warri road and Agbor Uku road.
The commissioner while agreeing that the roads are federal roads, he said that majority of the communities were Deltans.
Aniagwu observed that the state government has the economic means to construct the roads so that Deltans and residents in Delta enjoy the dividends of democracy.
He disclosed that the Okowa administration has sunk billions of Naira on roads construction across the length and breadth of the state.
On the Koka flyover bridge on the Asaba Onistha road, Aniagwu promised that the project shall be commissioned in the nearest future.
