The chairman of Inter Party Relations for Good Governance in Delta State, Popular Emmanuel America has warned of the dangers of opposing the creation of Anioma State.
America observed that those politicians and traditional rulers going to Abuja to lobby against Anioma State creation were enemies of Delta North.
Speaking to reporters in Kwale Ndokwa West after a meeting with stakeholders, the party chieftain maintained that it was a unique opportunity to get Anioma state and people should not work against it.
The Inter Party Relations For Good Governance argued that while the present generation of Deltans could live together, that cannot be predicted for future Deltans.
America therefore called on all Delta North stakeholders to rally round Senator Ned Nwoko in the political struggle to get Anioma State.
The politician also made a case for second term for Senator Ned Nwoko, come 2027.
He particularly appealed to the people of Delta North senatorial district to support Nwoko in 2027 so that he could finish the job of Anioma state creation.
In a related development, America has appealed to Deltans not to participate in the August 1 protest, adding that all Nigerians should be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.
