Once again, the presidential campaign has descended to the gutter level of trading blames between the APC and PDP for the February election.
The APC presidential candidate ,Senator Bola Tinubu accused Atiku Abubakar of selling the country while Atiku said that Tinubu was a drug dealer that should not be trusted with the fate of Nigeria.
Tinubu fired the first salvo in Akure last week that Atiku has nothing to offer Nigeria.
Said Tinubu :’He doesn’t want to do the brave and hardwork required to build a better nation.
Instead, he would rather sell your birthright to the highest bidder and run off with the proceeds.
He cares little that his policies and actions will impoverish you and leave youth nothing.’
Atiku said Tinubu was an infamous drug dealer who was convicted by American court and forfeited $460,00.
A spokesman for Atiku-Okowa presidential campaign council, Mr Kola Ologbodiyan in Abuja said that it would amount to blowing the wind for the APC candidate was vainly asking Buhari to save his political fate.
Said Ologbodiyan:’It is indeed ludicrous that Asiwaju Tinubu who is badgered with narcotics and many corruption allegation stains is now seeking President Buhari’s presence in his campaign after he had boastfully claimed that he (Buhari) had no political relevance and could not become President until he (Tinubu) came to his rescue.’
