CROSS FIRE. Saraki, Okowa fight dirty over defection

The former senate president, Senator Bukola Saraki and the former Delta state governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa are in the gutter of politics hauling insults at each other over yesterday defection to APC.

Saraki fired the first shot at Okowa saying that the former governor has descended so low.

In a reply today, Okowa said that Saraki has no moral right to speak against his background as a serial defector.

Listen to Saraki :’Okowa defection was unprecedented and symptomatic of a deeper leadership crisis. It is shocking and unbecoming. It’s simply a sign of how low we have sunk as a polity.’

Okowa vice presidential candidate in 2023 election fired back:’ I did not expect that someone like Senator Bukola Saraki should be able to speak concerning me, because he knows that he had also moved to APC before and eventually return. So he has had movement to and fro. So I don’t think he has the moral right to even speak about my defection.’
