The councillor representing Gbokoda ward 4 in the Warri North Local Government Council, Honourable Elliot Wilkie, has facilitated solar street lights project in his constituency.
Wilkie, while speaking to newsmen during the installation of the solar lights in Gbokoda Community, said the project would go a long way in ameliorating the plight of his people.
“I am excited that I am able to carry out a constituency project of such magnitude in my ward. These 22 solar powered street lights being mounted today will beautifully light up the community at night,” he said.
One of the leaders in Gbokoda Community, Comrade Austine Dorsu, who was on ground to supervise the installation of the street lights, commended Wilkie for the gesture and encouraged him to carry out more developmental projects in his ward.
Others who spoke said that the move by the councillor was worthy of commendation and thanked him for a job well done.
