A senatorial candidate on the platform of PDP Prince Ned Nwoko today described Boko Haram, Indigenous people of Biafra and Eastern Security Network as freedom fighters and should be treated as such.
Nwoko also advocated for the use of dialogue in dealing with the militant groups.
Nwoko canvassed this view in Asaba while addressing a gathering of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo youth wing world wide.
The politician who is gunning to represent Delta North senatorial district said that to stop the killings, the federal government as a matter of urgency should dialogue with them.
He observed that these groups were not only fighting for freedom but also territories.
The international lawyer drew a parrellel with Irish Republican Army and how the British government used dialogue to solve the sectarian crisis in the United Kingdom.
He promised to be a senator not only for Delta North senatorial district but the whole of Igbo race.
He therefore urged the Igbo youths to work for the victory of PDP in this Saturday election.
Nwoko disclosed that he could make a more effective senator if his party wins at the national level.
He told the youths that PDP has plan to float ten billion dollars for youth empowerment.
The senatorial hopeful advised the youths to have different streams of income.
