Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate and Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate yesterday mourned the passage of the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Dr Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi.
Both men in separate Tweets paid tribute to the memory of the late royal father.
Atiku through his verified Twitter account said he was saddened by the death of Sanusi describing him as an amiable traditional ruler.
The PDP standard bearer said the reign of the Emir witnessed significant development of the Dutse emirate.
Said Atiku :I am saddened by the news of the passing of the Emir of Dutse, His Majesty Dr Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi. Alhaji Sanusi was an amiable traditional ruler, and his reign symbolisd a significant development of the Dutse emirate.’
In his own tribute, Tinubu mourned the late Emir, saying it was a personal loss.
He disclosed that Sanusi was a good friend who followed his trajectory and progress.
Tinubu tweeted thus:’I mourn the death of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Dutse, Jigawa State, 1Alhaji (Dr) Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi.
For me it is a personal loss. I lost a good friend who followed my trajectory and progress.’
