The PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has congratulated General Yakubu on his birthday, saying that Gowon remains in the conscience of the nation because of long years of patriotism.
Atiku also noted that Gowon at 88 was a combination of grace and grit.
The presidential hopeful expressed these sentiments today via his verified Twitter account.
He also remarked that Gowon remains a prayer warrior for Nigeria, adding that God will continue to bless the former head of state with wisdom, peace and happiness.
