The PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has condemned the violence that rocked Port Harcourt APC rally yesterday, calling on the security agencies to fish out those behind it.
Atiku said that the promoters of this dastardly act must be brought to justice to serve as deterrent to others.
The PDP standard bearer said the act was clearly anti-democratic.
Atiku expressed his anger via his verified Twitter account yesterday.
He also said that on behalf of his presidential team, he stands in solidarity with the APC and the families of the injured.
He once again maintained that there should be no place for violence.
Atiku tweeted thus:’Once again I call on security agencies to ensure that those behind this dastardly act, including their promoters are brought to justice to serve as deterrent to copycats who may be emboldened to thread this same anti-democratic path
On behalf of my team, I stand in solidarity with the APC and the families of the injured. I wish the injured a quick recovery.
There should be no place for violence and anti-democratic manifestation in this election.
We ‘ve already committed to that in the peace pact we all signed up to.’
