The people of South East (Igbos) should not feel betrayed by the Peoples Democratic Party choice of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the PDP presidential running mate.
Rather the Igbos should see Okowa as one of their own.
This was the postulation of the Delta State Governor while speaking on Arise News television monitored in Asaba.
Senator Ifeanyi Okowa argued that he represents the Igbo, describing himself as an Igbo man.
Said the Delta State Governor: ‘ I am from Delta State. I am definitely an Igbo man, there is no doubt. I am from Delta State in the South South but if you are looking at Igbo across the country, I am an Igbo man.’
He therefore promised to represent the interest of the Igbos at the presidency, adding that the prospect of Igbo presidency were getting brighter with his choice as running mate to Atiku Abubakar.
