The Delta State All Progressive Congress campaign organization has warned the state government on excessive borrowings and using such funds for PDP national campaign.
In a statement issued by Mr Ima Niboro, the director of communication and strategy, APC warned of the dire consequences of such financial recklessness on the welfare of Deltans.
Niboro wondered why Delta money should be used to oil the national PDP political machine.
He questioned the rationale behind such loans:’ It is sad that on a day Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike approved the immediate payment of outstanding gratuities, pensions arrears and death benefits for retirees of Rivers State civil service, the Delta State House of Assembly approved N25 billon loan for Governor Ifeanyi. This is coming barely 49 days after Speaker Sheriff Oborevwori approved a controversial N150 billion loan’
Niboro therefore advised the statement governor to focus more on governance and stop wasting the tax payers’ money on partisan politics.
