The Delta State chapter of APC has advised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa not for a fleeting second contemplate defecting to APC , saying that the party was not in the mood of accepting people with questionable characters.

Senator Ovie Omo Agege dropped this bombshell of rejection yesterday in Agbor,Ika south LGA while addressing party faithfuls.

Despite serial denials of Oborevwori and Okowa planned defections to APC more credible evidence to the contrary continues to emerge.

Said Omo Agege : ‘We have built this party from scratch, and we will not allow people with questionable records to destroy what we have worked hard for.’

Omo Agege also alleged that the governor was intolerant of opposing views from the House of Assembly, adding that state legislators that dared contradict the governor are slammed with suspensions.

He therefore called on disaffected members of PDP to join the APC.

Said Omo Agege about the wind of defections blowing PDP :’Soon, we will have three senators, and I am aware that the three PDP House of Reps members are joining APC. Some House of Assembly members will also join. We welcome everyone except Oborevwori and Okowa.’

Barrister Felix Morka, the national publicity secretary of APC assured members that internal crisis within the Delta State chapter will be resolved before the 2027 elections.
