Leading APC political bigwigs today boycotted the inauguration of the governorship campaign council inauguration amdist the hostile attitude of Ima Niboro to some reporters.
Those who boycotted the occasion are Minister of State (labour,) Olorogun Festus Keyamo, Dr Cairo Ojuogboh, Ibe Kachukwu, Engineer Victor Ochei and Senator Peter Nwaoboshi.
Only one senatorial candidate, Ede Dafenone from Delta Central Senatorial district was present.
A handful of House of Representatives candidates also boycotted the occasion.
The Pond News understands that the boycott was as a result of party primaries that disregarded the views of party members.
Ima Niboro, the media aide to the APC governorship candidate openly displayed his disdain for reporters, saying that the journalists were too many.
Speaking after the inauguration of the governorship campaign council, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege promised to take Delta State to new heights with gainful employment, engaging the youths in productive ventures and provision of social amenities.
The governorship hopeful pledged that the resources of Delta State shall be used for the benefits of all Deltans.
The Pond News understands that it will be a difficult task for APC to win Governorship polls given the unpopularity of the party and crisis in various local government areas.
