Vice Presidential Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor of Delta, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated his Ondo State counterpart, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), on his 66th birth anniversary.
Okowa, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, today said that Akeredolu, who is Chairman of Southern Governors’ Forum, had continued to provide leadership for the governors irrespective of their political affiliations.
He said that the Ondo governor was an urbane and cerebral leader of great value and a committed progressive concerned about the well-being of Ondo people and Southern Nigeria.
Okowa praised Akeredolu for his legendary contributions to sustainable development and peace in his state and country.
“Your Excellency, I must commend you for your outstanding contributions to the growth and development of your state, and the cohesion, especially bridge-building, you have inspired among leaders in Southern Nigeria and the entire country.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I heartily rejoice with an amazing politician, a man of character, renowned professional and my brother governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN), Governor of Ondo State, as he turns 66 on Thursday.
”I am pleased to join your family and associates in thanking God for blessing you with strength and wisdom to live a fulfilling life of honesty and commitment to the well-being of Ondo State citizens, Southern Nigeria and entire nation.
