The people of Aboh kingdom in Ndokwa East local government areas led by the former speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olise Imeagwu today poured into the streets Asaba , the state capital disowning the newly crowned king, Greg Oputa as an imposter.
The protesters visited the deputy governor office and the State Police Headquarters, in Asaba.
Imeagwu, speaking to the press at deputy governor office said that more than ten lorry loads of police were drafted to Aboh to commit the illegally.
He alleged the said Greg Oputa did not go through the process and that as far as the tradition and custom of Aboh people were concerned, he was not the king of Aboh.
Imeagwu challenged the Greg Oputa to show people his coronation video and the person that placed the crown on his head as the Oduah was removed from Aboh by his children after been forced to chalk the said Greg Oputa.
He therefore called on the state government to step in to save Aboh from looming anarchy and danger.
At the State police headquarters, Imeagwu also harped on the need for all those interested in becoming the next king of Aboh to follow the due process.
Imeagwu submitted three petitions from prominent ruling families disowning the crowning of Greg Oputa as desecration of Aboh tradition and custom.
One of the petitions is from Umu Obi Elders Council signed by Chief Enebeli Ogwu, Ukor Okpala Ogbe Ukwu and Ukor Okpala Onu Obiuku.
The second petition is from Umu Ogwezi family quarters signed by Comrade Austine Ogwu, secretary and Elder Esumei Nwamana, Okpala Umu Ogwezi.
The third petition is from Umu Ossai Family Union signed by Elder Gilbert Nwezu, Okpala of Umu Ossai, chief Marshal, secretary and Mr Sunday Onwusah, president.
